It has even caused Phelps to withdraw from his potential eighth medal sighting his need to be really great at his other events. In women’s swimming news, Diana Torres has decided to retired after not qualifying for the Olympics after an alustrious career. Some have been skeptical that she could even compete as a 45 year old these days, but she has proven them wrong.
In track and field news, Usain Bolt has been struggling as of late to keep his dominating times. It will be interesting to see the competition throughout with these fast athletes. As the world becomes more accustom to basketball, it should be interesting to see how Team USA does in the quest for another gold medal. Most in sports media agree that the world will never see a team like the original DREAM TEAM.
