Enjoy!
Well, not me specifically, but my Alma Mater just won the College World Series in a dominating fashion. I am not exaggerating either. Upon entering the tournament, they went undefeated beating the defending champs South Carolina Gamecocks! Let me tell you this is EPIC for this Alum (currently writing this post), because the last time the CATS won was 1986! Yeah, so needless to say this drought needed to be hydrated by victory. Congrats to the team, Andy Lopez, and the University of Arizona! I bet y’all are going to go to Disneyland or Disney-world now.
Time for Tucson and all CATS of all ages to pay attention to the baseball program despite the recent success of the basketball and football programs!

I would like to thank ESPN & ESPN W for their respect, admiration, and celebration of the strides Title Nine has done for equality in sports. Title Nine’s strides to support women in their endeavor to compete at the same level as men, facilities equal to men, scholarship opportunities, and overall respect. Not only does the company sell sports/fitness clothing, adding the above adds to the quality.
Why did bring this up? Well, when watching the coverage on ESPN Saturday (June 23rd) of the USA vs. Canada softball game as well as the Phoenix Mercury vs. LA Sparks WNBA game, I had time to reflect. I began playing sports at a very young age, and it helped shape me as the person I am today. The question on who is your most inspirational woman in sports came up during the broadcast, and I could not narrow it down to just one.
Shout out to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for their recognition and collaboration with ESPN W! Happy 40th Anniversary Title Nine! Here’s to 40 more years of making strides.
I had the privilege of hanging out with Mark Cuban in a Google + Hangout On-Air. It was well run too!

Yes, it’s that time, well on June 25th-July 8th. I know the French Open at Roland Garros was just a couple of weeks ago, but it is now grass court season! I can tell you that this is my second favorite grand slam of the tennis grand slams per year. The classy spectacle of intense tennis is a Summer staple in my sporting event musts of the year. It could be due to the Americans actually showing up on grass as opposed to clay, or the fact I just love professional tennis.
Be on the look out for the draw to be announced Friday June 22, 2012!!
Yes, that’s right, I have to gloat…well shout out the baseball team at the University of Arizona. In other words, the Arizona Wildcats are making a name for themselves for not only making it to the College World Series, but as of last night’s victory over the UCLA Bruins, leading their division of the tournament! Now, some history for you non-Wildcats out there, usually the softball team represents in the post-season. So, it was nice change to see the counterpart striving for another championship. Maybe next season, there might be more fellow students and alumni supporting this sport on campus.
